When 4th-grader Sakura accidentally opens an anciet book she mysteriously found, her life was no longer ordinary. Dozens of cards flew free from within the book, and fate played a surprising twist. The young girl was bestowed with the quest of retrieving all the lost cards, entrusted by a strange creature critter in the name of Kero. Sakura met new friends during her journey, and a few possessing the same abilities equivalent to her own. One namely Lee, a competitive but kind ally, who was introduced shortly after the first few episodes. But it wasn't that simple. During the journey, there were many bearing obstacles and burdens that were neccessarily dealt with. Things started to get more complicated further through the series, as feelings were developed. Some characters were love-struck and others had to go on enduring though hardships and the roughest times. There wasn't a main specific villain here, as a new enemy appeared at the start of every new episode. It's easy to sense that there's plenty of chemistry (communication, not science), especially with all the characters' hidden feelings. In the end, we found out about most of the characters, their true understandings and motives.
Card Captors is definitely a light-hearted anime I really enjoyed. I rate it 5/5 stars.

Chrno Crusade

They say a person's life matters more than anything else to them... This wasn't the case with Rosette Christopher, who was willing to give up her own life for the sake of salvation. Accompanying her, was her partner, Chrno. However, their pact was quite extraodinary. Rosette was a sister, one who strongly believed in God, while Chrno was a demon. A creature feared by all humans. But despite this, they had a remarkable bond, for you see, Chrno was different to his comrades. He disliked his own kind, while struggling to achieve his one and only goal. And that was to gain freedom. You see, demons were thought of as monsters who sought strength, for their thirst of power. Rosette & Chrno were exorcists, assigned to annihilate demons who caused trouble for the towns' people. Their missions were successful, untill the main villain arrived. This was where things started to become complicated. Aion, was a demon, who opposed heaven and tried to break it's border with Earth, so that the two places would be one. Long ago, he commited a terrible sin, when he killed the parents of a young girl, and took her older sister away from her. That girl grew up to become a Jewl summoner, named Satella, who was introduced during the series. Similarly, he also took away Rosette's younger brother, Joshua, when she was young. Shortly after Aion's arrival, he started to cause havoc by sending his followers to kidnap Rosette. The main purpose behind his pursuit was because he required her to complete his objective. But the most seen key here was Rosette and Chrno's romance.

Chrno Crusade didn't have a joyous ending. It was quite sad, as the three leading characters died, after the battle with Aion. That was the point where everything became depressing, but the series was still enjoyable and memorable. I rate this series 5/5 stars.

Scrapped Princess

Legends speak of a young girl, born in the royal family, who will one day bring destruction to the world, unless she is killed. On her sixteenth birthday, the Scrapped Princess would start to destroy the planet. Because of this prophecy, she has been sought after by bounty hunters, and the palace guards dismissed by the King. Pacifa's fate was decided the moment she was born. You see, she was abandoned by her father. The night she was meant to be rid, something unexpected occurred. The one ordered to dispose of the child, gave sympathy to her, because he couldn't possibly see her being killed. Instead, he threw her down to the sweeping waves. A fine family found her one day, and brought her up the correct way. She wasn't the spoilt princess she was to become. But she had what no princess had. Freedom, and a warm family consisting of her foster parents and her two older siblings; her brother & sister. She was always enjoying herself, and her family never neglected her. But it didn't last forever. Years later, along with her brother and sister, Pacifa set out to flee from those who were after her, closely watching her, were many pursuers. It wasn't easily accomplished, as there were always enemies standing in their way.

A truly touching story. The first time I saw it, I was amazed with the background. It wasn't a very hilarious anime. The series was quite severe and serious, as you can imagine. I rate this series 4.5/5 stars

Naruto

Many years ago, in the hidden village of Konoha, a beast known as the "demon fox" invaded the land and caused the death of numerous villagers. It was quite unfortunate that the fox's soul was sealed into a baby boy named Naruto. Ever since that event, the boy has been neglected by the people around him. Many would blame the deaths of the villagers on him. Due to this, he has had a very painful childhood. In addition, little is known of his family origins, so he grew up alone, and didn't have a lot of friends. But despite this, the boy grew stronger through the process. There wasn't any leading villain up untill the Chuunin exam. This was where Orochimaru came in. Ever since then, the series was even more intriguing.

Naruto is the best anime series I've seen. The storyline is packed with action, and each episode causes you to anticipate what comes next. I find the series very exciting. There are many episodes (over 150!), but they're all worth watching. Over time, we learn a lot about the characters' origins and childhood. The most information was given related to Sasuke to Naruto, but we discover more about the others later on in the series. Some new characters are developed over time, take Tsunade, Jiraiya, Shizune, Orochimaru as examples. These characters didn't appear from the start. Rather, they were introduced in between the series.

Over all, I do recommend this anime series, and rate it 5/5 stars.

Here are some screen shots I have captured. How did I get these pictures, you ask? It's simple. I used a program called GOM Player, which plays video files. It also has the capability to screen-capture images, while playing the file. You can also use Intervideo WINDVD, which has the same feature. Please don't use these pictures on your site (direct linking), as it is against the terms and conditions of all websites. I've worked hard to screen-capture the images, and upload them to the Blogger server, so please be kind. There are many servers on the internet. A person cannot gain anything without sacrifices. One must present something of equivalent value, to gain something. This is the basic law of equivalent trade, and the nature of alchemy. Edward & Alphonse Elric are two brothers, whose attempt to revive their deceased mother went terribly wrong. That was the moment they created a disaster, a Homunculus. A creature born out of a mistake, while one attempts human transmutation. After the horrid incidence, Edward lost his right arm as a sacrifice and left leg in order to seal his brother's soul into an armour suit. Ahead of the two lie unpredictable adventures, new faces to meet, and new enemies to encounter. On the day the two set out on an awaited journey, Ed & Al burned down their house. Their main objective was to get ahold of the "Philosopher's stone". A stone which has the ability to transmute objects without the need to sacrifice something in return. The series was quite sad, as the two brothers lost many close friends to them. Such characters like Nina, a young girl was inhumanely transmuted into a chimera, and killed by Scar in a horrid way. There was also Lieutenant Hughes, who was killed by Sloth. Hughes' incident occured after he tapped into the secrets of Sloth, who was linked to one of the Honmunculus, 'Pride'. There were many dark secrets aswell as twists and turns in the series. They were unraveled after many different incidents, which were closely related to the Homunculi.

Full Metal Alchemist is a highly rated series, and I totally recommend you watch it, if you haven't yet. Not only is it unpredictable, it's also one of the best anime series you'll ever see. I rate this anime 5/5 stars.
